Author Spotlight with Andie M. Long

Author Bio:
Andie M. Long wrote two full length novels before Gabe and Stella entered her mind and so in her usual bonkers fashion decided to self-publish the first novella, having not even written the rest of the series. Something she has smacked herself in the face for since.
Part One of The Alphabet Game went straight to Number One in The UK Amazon Kindle Erotic Short Story chart. She has several published short stories and poems, including an upcoming release for Cracked Eye. Andie has a regular blog at www.wordbohemia.com, ‘The Emergence of the Invisible Writer.’

Stella Mulroney is playing a game. It's taken her two years but she finally has an interview at Gregory & Sons, the top London law firm that looks after her stepfather's interests. She plans to discover what her Multi-millionaire Stepdaddy really invests in and bring him down.

Unwittingly, she's caught the attention of Gabriel 'Gabe' Gregory, son of her Stepfather's top Lawyer. He wants to know why Stella has such a need for revenge and would prefer her to channel that fury into a game of his own, 'The Alphabet Game'. After all, his is much more fun to play …

Stella Mulroney had been getting an education, with Lawyer Gabe Gregory teaching her The Alphabet Game, a sexual exploration from A through to Z, so she could infiltrate the sex clubs owned by her stepfather. After the restaurant debacle, Stella now has more to learn. Can Gabe be trusted, or is her stepfather no longer the enemy? Stella hires a Private Investigator to help her track down her stepsister Isabel, who might hold some of the answers. Or then again, maybe Isabel has secrets of her own ...

This is the second in a series of four novellas, released monthly. It is not a standalone and has a cliffhanger ending.

Questions:
1.    When did you decide to write?
I said I’d write a book when I was in my twenties, then I never did anything about it.  I got to forty and thought do it, or shut up about it.  I changed my degree path and enrolled on a Creative Writing Course with the Open University.  I never looked back.
2.   How did you come up with the idea of your newest book?
Some friends and my sister decided we’d all go to the Romance Author and Reader Event in Edinburgh in July to fangirl the likes of Aleatha Romig.  It initially started us on a path of reading lots of brilliant new authors we’d not come across before, and then Gabe and Stella started chatting in my head.  I started typing and The Alphabet Game was born.
3.   What Genre do write?
My first two full length novels which will be released later in the year are Drama Fiction.  The Alphabet Game is Erotic Romance.
4.   Would you ever write with another author if asked?
No, my internal chatter wouldn’t get along with that.
5.   Who is your biggest inspiration?
It’s someone who isn’t real – Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.  Writer; shoe-a-holic; coffee and restaurant addict and I have my own Mr Big.  It’s like we’re twins.  Aside from that I’m very inspired by Jill Mansell, who despite having sold millions of books, has her feet firmly on the ground and is so humble and approachable.

6.   Who are some of your favorite authors?
Freda Warrington, Anne Rice, Christina Lauren, Alice Clayton, Chelsea Cain, Melissa Hill, Adele Parks.
7.   What genre do you like to read?
Gosh, I read a few.  I move between Drama, Supernatural, Erotic, Chicklit and a little bit of Crime.
8.   What was the last book that you read?
Tangled by Emma Chase.  Love Drew.

9.   What are you working on?
Right now it’s Part three of The Alphabet Game.  Part Two has just been released.  I’m having a few days to promote that and then it’s straight into part three edits.

Fun Questions:
1.   Favorite Animal – Our hamster, Venomous Toxic Dude (Venom for short).  Never ask a nine year old to name a pet!
2.  Favorite Color - purple
3.   Favorite Food – chocolate.  Does that count?
4.  Favorite Genre of Music – sexy R&B/pop, eg Jason Derulo.
5.   Favorite Season – Summer.  My bones need warmth.
