It has been many lifetimes since the cycle began.

The cycle that still haunts Annisa Lawson.

A spell cast in desperation to help, which only caused heartache.

Now, Annisa has found her way out of the varying repeats of her past; only to bring more danger to herself, and those around her. Now she must learn to survive with the help of her friends: Chase, Penelope, and Landon have all gone through each life cycle with Annisa. Sometimes helping, sometimes hindering. Now that Annisa has broken the cycle of their collective punishment, she finds that she needs her friends more than ever to keep their enemies, known, and unknown, at bay. As the group of friends learn of their souls' journeys through their many life cycles, they must also learn to control the magick they have discovered within themselves and each other, in order to defeat the most feared assassin in their world.

Excerpt 1

When the door opens and reveals the most gorgeous boy I've ever seen, I can’t help but do anything but stare. After a few minutes of just staring at each, other he shakes his head as if to clear it from a fog and he asked, “Can I help you?”  I have to fight against the very strong pull I feel toward him to regain enough of my common sense to respond. “I live next door and just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood, and the town.” I replied.
He seemed to be just as distracted as I was but I had no idea why he would be. Just as it was starting to get awkward just standing there staring at each other, neither of us able to figure out what the sudden intense feelings could possibly mean, a girl about the same age appeared next to him. She smiled at me with a knowing look in her eyes as she introduced herself as Penelope Taylor. I immediately felt very comfortable with her, like I could completely trust her with anything. I pushed all the confusing emotions and thoughts to the back of my mind to be dealt with later, so I wouldn’t look like some kind of weirdo just standing here staring at them both. I finally managed to smile and respond to them both. “Hi my name is Annisa Lawson. I was just telling your brother that I live next door, and just wanted to come by and welcome you to the neighborhood and the town. I’m sorry, but I didn’t catch your name.” I said to the boy I was trying very hard to not just stand there and stare at.
“My name is Chase, it's nice to meet you Annisa” he responded. I immediately felt butterflies in my stomach when I heard him say my name.  I suddenly had an idea where I could try and get to know them both a little better, and see if this weird intense feeling that I knew both of them and could trust them completely would lessen any. “Since this is the last Saturday of summer break most of the school will be down at the beach. We have a bonfire every year for one last night of fun before school starts up again on Monday. If you would like to go with me it might be nice to meet some of the other people before school starts.”
